We are thrilled to announce the remarkable achievement of Joe Angus, who has been given the position of first-team goalkeeper for the upcoming season. This momentous occasion is a testament to the extraordinary journey Joe has undertaken, starting from a young age, when he first joined the Llandudno FC ranks.
Throughout the years, Joe's commitment and undeniable talent have shone brightly on the pitch, captivating the attention of First Team Manager Jordan Hadaway, who had the privilege of coaching Joe in the U19s last season.
One pivotal moment that showcased Joe's heroic capabilities came during last season's encounter with Guilsfield in the Welsh Blood League Cup quarter-final when he was called up to the first team. In an intense 9-8 penalty shootout, Joe displayed nerves of steel, stunning everyone with his incredible performance, as he managed to save three penalties.
Joe's perseverance, dedication, and an unyielding passion for the club has got him into this position now. His hard work has now lead to his call up to the first team.
At Llandudno FC, we are immensely proud of Joe Angus and have full confidence that his remarkable journey is only just beginning.
Jordan Hadaway who gave Joe this opportunity said:
"It was massively important for me that the younger lads that are ready get the opportunity. Managing Joe for the past seven months has proved his qualities both in training and games. Joe is one of the many of the youth team players that are ready and deserves this opportunity to represent his local club"
Congratulations Joe!
