Words with Eards - First Report

We caught up with Manager Sean Eardley on the opening week of the new JD Cymru North season:

"Despite only having a point on the board, there have been a lot of positives to take from the two games.

Guilsfield and Prestatyn are two tough places to go, but we acquitted ourselves well for periods of both games and despite it being the same for every team near enough, it’s the first time lads have played together and/or competitively for 12/18 months."

We face Llanrhaeadr-ym-mochnant tomorrow in another tough away fixture, and the Gaffer is expecting another tough 90mins:

"Llanrhaeadr will pose a stern test with it being their first home game of the season. They have a lot of experience and will make it difficult, but we have prepared well and go there with full belief we can get our first win."

The club announced yesterday that former favourite Toby Jones had returned to Maesdu Park, and Eardley was pleased to add to his current squad:

"Lastly a big welcome back to Toby Jones, he’ll be a welcome addition to the group on and off the field. Also a big thank you to the supporters who have made both trips so far, it's been really pleasing to see. And finally a speedy recovery to Aaron Rodgers who had successful surgery recently following his injury in an U23's friendly from all the lads."
