No Mercy Shown To Caernarfon At Giant Hospitality Stadium
Llandudno began 2018 at home to Caernnarfon Town on a brisk evening at the Giant Hospitality Stadium.
They got off to the perfect start as within 20 minutes they were 2 up, defender Mckenzie Slaven pounced on a rebound and Aron Hughes finished well after good link up play between him and Sam Thomas.
They added 2 before half time as Ant Marshall rose well from a corner and Aron Royles finished emphatically from a tight angle to make the score 4-0 at the break.
Joe Carey was introduced at half time along with Under 16 player Keating Hoe Pyke, and it was the latter that scored on his second appearance for the Under 19s as good pressure allowed him to smash home from close range. Sam Thomas got in on the act before Pyke grabbed his second, but then the goal of the game arrived as Joe Carey linked up well with Iwan Jones and Pyke to deafly chip over the on rushing keeper.
Another good goal followed as Sam Thomas converted from a swift counter attack and then Royles scored again to grab his brace. Thomas then completed a fine performance with his Hat Trick and Iwan Jones finished the scoring.
A fine performance from the Under 19s as they had not competed for over a month, with Airbus, Connah’s Quay and Flint on the horizon it was the perfect start to the year.
