Manager Iwan Williams is delighted to announce that a deal has been agreed for former Wrexham and Chester man Wes Baynes, signing on a contract until the end of the season from Airbus UK.
The 29 year old will help to add some much needed depth to the squad and is capable of operating down the right hand side in both defence and midfield, the Manager was delighted to get the deal done in time for the remaining two Phase One games, especially with the unfortunate injury suffered to Ryan Edwards in the New Years Day fixture at Bangor City.
“I’ve tracked Wes for a number of years, even during his Wrexham days, he will come in and give us versatility, quality, and experience. His deliveries into the box and long throw capabilities can provide us with added threats going forward. After meeting with Wes I’m sure he’ll fit in great to a squad that’s in high spirits after our derby win.”
Baynes will wear the No.6 shirt and said upon signing:
“After speaking with Iwan I’m very excited at the prospect of playing back in the Welsh Premier League for Llandudno, and hopefully helping them in their next two games of achieving that sixth spot everyone desires.”
Baynes will join Evans and Matty Williams in being eligible for this Saturday’s game against Bala Town in the JD Welsh Premier League.
