“I've always wanted to play at the highest level possible and when the opportunity presented its self to re-join Llandudno I couldn't turn it down. ”
Llandudno FC Confirm Re-Signing Of Toby JonesThe club are pleased to confirm the signing of Toby Jones from Rhyl Football Club, and we would like to thank Niall McGuiness and Mike Jones for their kind cooperation in finalising the paperwork to release Toby from his contract.
Toby returns to the club after his previous spell saw him greatly assist in the clubs triumph in the Huws Gray Alliance which saw us promoted the Welsh Premier League in 2015. Toby brings with him a wealth of experience from his times with Airbus, Neath, Caernarfon, Conwy and more recently having an outstanding season at Rhyl.
Manager Alan Morgan commented:
“I am glad he has come back to play for the club and I’m looking forward to seeing him in pre-season, at the time I was disappointed to lose him when we won promotion and I’ve been after him since January, but he wanted to stay and help Rhyl in their relegation fight, which I commend him, and I also add my thanks to Rhyl for their cooperation.”
Llandudno’s new No.21 said of the move:
“I would like to thank everyone at Rhyl and I'm thankful for the opportunity Niall (McGuinnes) gave me, I can understand the club are disappointed in my decision, but as a player I've always wanted to play at the highest level possible and when the opportunity presented its self to re-join Llandudno I couldn't turn it down.
I'm happy it has all been sorted now and I can concentrate on next season. I'm looking forward to working with Alan again and helping the club push for that top 6 finish, and hopefully a second spell in Europe.”
