Strong Start To The Season By Our Academy Sides

Having Enjoyed a Successful Start To The Current Campaign Last Sunday, Our U13's And U15's Carried On Their Winning Streak In Week Two

Last Saturday saw our foundation sides playing a year up versus Colwyn Bay academy. Whilst it's never easy to compete against older players, our boys performed extremely well - with our newly formed under 7s just losing by the odd goal in nine, whilst our under 8s also playing in their first ever academy fixture winning 3-2, in a game which was technically excellent from both sides at such a young age.

Our U9's missing several key players were beaten by Bay under 10s, whilst our U10's played some terrific football winning 5-1 over the older U11's age group.

On Sunday it was the turn of our youth sides with the U12's, U14's and U16's playing their first league matches of the season versus Porthmadog Academy.

Our U12's came away from their first ever academy league fixture with a 13-2 victory, with James Parry's U14's winning 11-1, and Grant Montgomery's U16's side 10-0.

Later in the day our U15's carried on our winning pattern with an accomplished display beating Rhyl Academy 6-1.

Today saw our U13's and U15's continue where they left off last week, with 10-1 and 6-1 victories over Porthmadog Academy at a blustery Maesdu Park.

Ethan Roberts following up his hat trick last week for our U13's, scored six - taking his tally to nine in two games, showing everyone why he's so highly rated within academy football .

This season like last, we will be offering some of our boys the opportunity to be coached in both their own age group, as well as the age group above. So far it's paying dividends in helping produce such a positive start to the season.

Next week sees our U12's, U14's and U16's travelling to Caernarfon, whilst our Foundation sides as well as our U13's and U15's travel to Connah's Quay Academy, for what are always competitive and technically high standard games at Deeside.
