At last month’s Annual General Meeting Chairman Russ Austin expressed his intent to step down as Chairman of the club, to focus on other areas inside and outside of football.
Austin stated that he was proud of the achievements at the club during his tenure and that it had been an honour to be the Chairman, supported by such a hardworking board and all of the dedicated volunteers, without whom the club would be unable to function. He stressed that he was not leaving the club entirely and was there for advice and guidance to the club and his successor. With the club now stabilised in the Welsh Premier League and with a new, dynamic management team in place with their new squad taking shape, it was time for him to step aside for the next person to take the club forward further. He thanked everyone at the club and Welsh football generally for all their support during the rapid changes that have taken place over the last 5 years.
Llandudno Football Club would like to place on record their sincere thanks to Russ during his tenure here at the club and wish him every success in the future.
There will be further announcements made in the coming days regarding additional changes to the boardroom at the club moving forward.
