The friendly will come after phase one finishes, allowing the players to remain match fit until the big Welsh Cup tie against Llangefni.
It’s also an opportunity for the Ynys Mon manager, Campbell Harrison to look at his group of players and will go a long way to help him choose the final squad ahead of their 2019 tournament.
New signing Jay Gibbs, as well as Osian Jones are amongst the hopefuls to reach the squad.
We look forward to welcoming Ynys Mon to our home and here’s what their manager had to say about the friendly.
“We want 2019 to be a big year for football on Ynys Mon, and kicking off the year with a friendly against JD Welsh Premier League opposition is a great chance for us to see exactly where we’re at as a group, what we need to work on and the direction we want to take this team in going forward.”
“The trial games last year were very beneficial for all concerned. We got to see the Island’s best and brightest show their passion for representing their home, there was great talent on show and it was very encouraging – now the had work starts as we try to whittle down over 70 players into a final squad that will represent Ynys Mon in the Summer.” Said Harrison.
“We thank Llandudno FC very much for agreeing to this fixture, it will be a great opportunity for everyone involved to compete against the highest quality opposition at a great facility, and we’re looking forward to taking the first steps on the next stage of the journey for this team on January the 15th.”
Kick off will be at 19:45 and we hope to welcome many of you at the Giant Hospitality Stadium when the friendly comes around.
