Llandudno Football Club can tonight confirm that three players have moved on to pastures new as Manager Iwan Williams continues to shape his squad.
The first is midfielder Aaron Hassall who joined at the start of the season but has found his first team opportunities limited, and has returned to former club Denbigh Town where Iwan hopes he will develop further:
“Azza has been great for me since I’ve come in. He’s a bit of a maverick and has shown glimpses of what a great player he can become in the near future if he continues to work hard. We feel that it’s the right move for Azza at this moment in time as it will give him some consistent game time at Denbigh which is what he needs at his age to further his development.”
Earlier this evening Iwan Williams’ former club Caernarfon Town also announced the transfer of Shaun Cavanagh to his hometown club, and it was an opportunity too good for him not take felt the Manager:
“Shaun has been as reliable and loyal as they come. He’s been patient and when his chance came he helped us massively in collecting four vital points against Bangor which has given us renewed hope of reaching the top 6. His professionalism and endeavour is amongst the best I’ve come across at his age but when the opportunity arose for him to join his hometown club, I felt it was an opportunity for him not to take.”
And finally we can confirm that forward Owain Jones has been released from his contract by mutual consent.
Manager Williams sent his best wishes to all the players in their future endeavors:
“I want to personally thank all three players for their contribution since I’ve joined the club and wish them well in their future careers.”
