Club Statement: Cowan Appointed Assistant Manager following Matty Williams Departure

By Geraint Roberts

Mark Cowan has been appointed as the club’s new assistant manager.

Llandudno Football Club can confirm that we have parted ways with Assistant Manager and Player Matty Williams.

Signing a person of Matty's calibre was an exciting opportunity and we would like to thank Matty for his service during his time at the club. We wish Matty success in his future endeavours.

After the decision was made following internal consultation with management, the club moved quickly to appoint a new Assistant Manager in Mark Cowan.

Mark is an UEFA A License Candidate with the Welsh Football Trust and takes up the role alongside managing Morecambe U21's. Mark also runs the North Wales Elite Development Centre for Swansea City, and was most recently assisting with Cymru Alliance leaders Airbus UK.

Mark said of his appointment: "I'm very excited to join a fantastic club and and I'm especially looking forward to working with Iwan and all the players and staff here at Llandudno Football Club. I'm thankful to everyone at Airbus UK Broughton for all their help and support, but I'm relishing the challenge and opportunity ahead. I've met the squad and I'm so impressed with the togetherness and work ethic they've demonstrated so far, and I'm certain we can kick on and climb the table to safety."
