Club Pleased To Announce Appointment Of New Manager

The club are pleased to announce the arrival of our new First Team Manager, ex club captain and current Manager at Caernarfon Town Football Club, Iwan Williams, and will take immediate control of all First Team matters on and off the field.

Iwan has a great affinity with Llandudno Football Club, having played and captained the side in the past for many years; he has done an outstanding job in his first managerial appointment and turned Caernarfon Town FC into a title winning team, and probable promotion candidates. He now feels it is time to take the next step in his managerial career and that his old club Llandudno FC is an ideal fit for his ambitions, which following his interview clearly match our own.

As a club it was not a difficult decision, as despite his lack of experience at Welsh Premier League level, he is extremely ambitious, focused and professional, and is the perfect replacement to follow in the success we have enjoyed in recent seasons.

Iwan is hoping to embark on the upcoming UEFA Pro license and is held in high regard by the Welsh footballing fraternity, he has an excellent pedigree, great local contacts, and an excellent work ethic both in football and on a personal level. He has a real appreciation of our club ethos, the uniqueness of the Welsh Football pyramid, and being a local man brings a lot of off field experience to us too.

Chairman Russ Austin stated: “As Chairman I am delighted to bring Iwan to the club, I have known and watched him for over 25 years in his development as a young player on Angelsey, his growth into senior football and his successful move into coaching and management, this is a very positive appointment for the club and I know Iwan will bring us continued success.”

Everyone at the club extends a warm welcome to Iwan and we all look forward to the exciting times that lie ahead.

Russ continues: “I would like to thank Caernarfon Town FC for their understanding in this matter, they are close to my own heart of course and we have good relations between our clubs. We are all eagerly anticipating their return to the top flight if they continue their current form, and will be a welcome addition to the Welsh Premier League if they succeed.”

There will be a further press release shortly about the New Manger’s management team and I am sure he will share his visions too.
