Ben Clark Signs for Llandudno FC

2 weeks ago By Geraint Roberts

Llandudno FC have signed Ben Clark from TNS on a short term loan deal and the player will be eligible to play against Barry Town.

“I’m a player with a lot of energy with and without the ball adding good quality with a high work rate. I’m hoping to strengthen the squad to get some good results in the upcoming fixtures.” Ben Clark

The 18 year old has gone through the ranks at the Welsh Premier League champions and signed a pro contract in 2017 after impressing in the youth ranks.

The midfielder scored against Llandudno just last Tuesday in the quarter final of the Nathaniel MG Cup when TNS comfortably beat the Seasiders 5-0.

Clark is excited to get started at the club and hopes to change around the team’s fortunes of late.

“I’m really looking forward to being part of the team, and I’m hoping that I can add something to us and push for the top six spot when the league separates in two.” Said the midfielder.

“I’m a player with a lot of energy with and without the ball adding good quality with a high work rate. I’m hoping to strengthen the squad to get some good results in the upcoming fixtures.”

His Llandudno career could start on Sunday against Barry Town, and Clark recognises the threat that our opponents can pose.

“They are on a good run at the moment and getting some good results, but I’m very confident to get the result against them, as well as any other team we will play.”

“I haven’t met any of the lads other than when playing against them, but I’ve had a good welcoming in the group chat so I’m really looking forward to getting started against Barry.”

Manager Iwan Williams is delighted to get Ben Clark to the club and has been a long-term admirer of his qualities.

“I’ve been a long admirer of Ben since my previous club when I played TNS in the Nathaniel MG Cup last season. He dominated the midfield in that game the same as he dominated us on Tuesday’s disappointing defeat.”

“He is young, fearless, energetic and has good quality. He’s also well sought after in the professional game so I’m thankful for Scott Ruscoe for allowing us to have him.”
The manager has also hinted that Clark won’t be the only man coming in.

“We are obviously in a difficult situation at the moment but we are looking to address certain areas within the squad. You have to fight and look for solutions and we as a management team are doing that to try and get us out of the predicament we’re in.” Said the manager.

“Signing Ben will be a big plus for us but he hopefully won’t be the only one coming through the door in the next coming days.”

Everyone at the club would like to wish Ben Clark the best of luck, starting with hopefully a positive performance on the weekend if he is called upon.
