Academy Player Owen Jones Takes Part In Charity Run For Mum

By Clive Rushton

Last Week Saw Our Under 15s Player Owen Jones 'Run The Prom' For Cancer Research To Support Mum Nicky

Some think about it, and some just get on and do it.

With his Mum Nicky not too well and bravely fighting her illness, son Owen (Jones) our under 15s academy defender saw an opportunity to do something constructive for her, and raise much needed cash to be put into cancer research, in order to help combat the illness.

Advising a few friends that he intended to run Llandudno to Colwyn Bay pier and back this Sunday word soon spread, and Owen has already raised nearly£1,000 for his efforts.

Dad Mark was keen to point out that it was Owen's desire to show his Mom how much he cared for her - and then discovered not surprisingly that other people did too, which led to his idea of trying to do something practical to help.

If others would like to contribute to Owens efforts so far, you can do so by following the link below:

Meanwhile we at the club, within our academy and all his team mates wish Owen's mum Nicky all the very best as she fights back from what we all recognise as being such a horrible illness.
